I FINISHED the grind!

Now I hope to be a viable part of the community here, but First a few Questions, forgive me if they are already in the FAQ.I am about to look in there onceI post this. Also, and Ahazi Armoursmith willing to send me a tell in game and help me out, it would be much appreciated

Questions

1) Where doI start the RIS Quest?

2) Whats best for Recon Armour, Energy Layers or Primus????

3) Is it wise trying to make your main source of Income R.I.S armour and Custom Builds, or will it be best to stock everything? (I will off cource be stocking everything aswell but only 2-3 Suits at a time, instead of 8-10)

4) Does Faction Armour Sell well? and if so, how much is it for a full Suit of Schematics (10 Uses Each Schematic Right?)

Thanks Guys and i'm Glad to be inthis community

Hi there! Welcome to AS board! I'd suggest before posting a question you should read the sticky that says "READ THESE LINKS BEFORE POSTING WITH QUESTIONS" Question 1 is very well written up in that sticky.

Question 2: Unlayered seems to be the most popular atm because of the negatives to other protections caused by layering and the expense and intense work it takes to create layers. For those that do layers Primus seems Primus...gah sorry, not enough sleep, that deserved a groan.

Question 3: will have to be answered by others. I think at this time because of the factory bug on colors, heavy mass production is difficult, though black armor seems to still come out ok.

Question 4: Look at the thread regarding post cu armorsmith or something of the like, there are many helpful threads listed as well as a thread covering faction armor. There are very current threads discussing faction armor and the fp cost associated. Pretty much no one can tell you how much the fp cost will be for you as it is all dependent upon which side you are on, if you are imp if you are human or non human, how much your side is winning or losing by. So this is just something you will have to find out for yourself. As for does it sell, you should check your trade board and make a post there as sales and popularity treads are similar, they still vary from server to server.

Again welcome to the board and congrats on the end of your grind. I encourage you to read, read, read, so many questions have already been answered and questions you hadnt thought of already have been answered! Very knowledgeable ASs here, and I'm very happy to have gotten their help.

As an answer to question 3, I'd say that unless you have friends who are happy to supply the loot components you need for RIS armor, counting on it for your main income main be difficult.

Plan on camping your alt a LOT if you plan on making RIS your main source of income then Those gurk kings are just stingy.

Wow give up your secrets then, that would take on average 15 drops from a gurk king to get 100. Frags drop easily, and three drops of GDK an hour I suppose is possible with a lot of luck and a perfect situation, ie no one else i camping GDK it actually drops scales and not hide and cores, and no one in your group if you're in a group to outdamage wants them as well. I suppose you could have a ranger and find instant spawns, but from my experience you spend most of your time looking for the spawn and there's never a guarantee it will be a drop. Still though it would take at least four drops of GDK scales in one hour since the largest stack I've ever seen is 8. So, I'd love to hear your secrets, especially regarding the gurk king, had afriend kill 5 nests the other day in a matter of an hour all of them wild all of them with two ferals and none spawned a king, and he's an experienced hunter. So, not being obnoxious, but I'd love to see you do it, and would love to know how you did it.

I thinkyou are WAY overestimating your ability to get the componets. Also even if you get all the componets and the armor is crap, it will be hard to sell

Me too, but seriously, if someone has the secrets of getting THAT much in THAT short of time, I'm all ears.
