I've been an armorsmith for about two weeks now and i'm doing fairly well with it, making 5700+ base armor until i get better resources. My question is, would it be worth buying a 20pt experimentation suit? I've heard that the condition experimentation on segments and cores does nothing, but the condition on my suits never exceeds 45k (though i'm not sure what the cap is).
Should i bother with becoming a 12pt-er? Or is it not worth the creds
Thanks!

Twelve points is a convenience now. You won't add too much condition, just a few thousand. Twelve points does let you craft away and hardly ever getting less than a great success. And twelve points is useful when making PSGs since you have three lines you can experiment. If you can get the points fairly cheap, go for it. Don't pay 20 million or more like we did pre CU. Tapes seem to be a lot cheaper now.

I see, thanks for the info ![]()
Think i'll skip it for now, PSGs are a while away for me still anyway.

completely off subject but nice siggy. I own a cantina called the black bantha, comes from the pre luanch board campout thread. Just wondering if that's where your sig is from?

A bit of a later response, i didnt notice the reply before today
Thanks btw
Black Bantha, it comes from when i wasa BE (for a very short time), i worked really hard to make the absolute best creature i could, then for no reason i can figure, made it into a Bantha that i called Black Bantha. I made several of these and gave them to friends and whatnot. Then i made a whole room devoted to it in one of my large houses. People would always comment about how they liked the setup and petting the Black Bantha was a must for anyone visiting my shop (i had signs up, they couldn't avoid it
). I became quite fond of the Black Bantha.
So now he has become my Mascott and sits around in my Vendor Mall, watching over things for me. I find it to be a catchy name. Better than Tehra's Uber Armors
so it worked out alright.

as far as stats i don't think its huge
however, if you see name 12 point Master armor smith in someones sig, mostl likely your business will go to them over the guy whose sig simply says armor smith. it does catch peoples eye and sometimes turn their decision on who makes there armor in your direction.
