Can someone tell me the difference between using basic, standard, and/or advanced cores? Forgive me if this is answered somewhere.

Basic uses one segment, standard uses two segments, advanced uses three segments. The cores require more specific resources and a greater quantity of resources as you move from basic to advance. Protection, condition, and hindrances increase dramatically as you move from basic to advanced.

Thank you for answering. Assuming I have the resources, should I just stick with Advanced? I mean, if resources aren't an issue is there a reason to make basic/standard?

*chuckle* very good point and I will take note. Not everyone has credits to spare. I know I don't.

Most low level people group with high level people to gain xp. And since they're low on credits they prefer to not buy armor and spend credits on better weapons. If you make non-advance armor you might be sitting on that stock of armor for a very long time. I know it's not how the devs intended for amor to be, but that's how people play the game.

I wanted to add that thus far I have had only a couple requests for standard (non-advanced) armor for BE to wear while sampling. I usedloot dropped standard cores off the bazaarbypassing the need to use my ownresources. The resists were not that bad; near 4k if memory serves me right. Just something to consider, since lots of people discard the loot dropped cores.
