Just wanted to share my completed suit of R.I.S. I experimented on the suit a few different way to see what kind of results I would get. I made 4 pieces with Yellow Geo cubes and 5 of the pieces with green Geo cubes. In the segement enhancement box for each, I used Krayts Scales. I used stun layers in all of the pieces but the gloves in this case, I used R.I.S. layers.

That last screenie would make a sic screenshot of the day btw. Nice work. I've been thinking about my first RIS piece. I am still looking for another scale. I was surprised how heavy the helm was over 200 mind, but I suppose if you use this for PVP, you have to go with stun especially on the helm.

Also, I agree the krayt scales are a neat way to get acid resist without laying but it makes an eff slice almost useless. Don't get me wrong- excellent work! I'm jealous.

I've been thinking about how I will craft my first piece. I too, would like to use it in PVP,and want to make it resist to acid as well. For the helm I was thinking of the following and tell me what you think.

2 Stun layers maxed for special and then base

1 Acid maxed for base then durability (the thinking here that ill take my chances on not getting headshotted with acid but still want a resist)

NS shard or 5% janta hide

Every other piece:

*8+ NS layer

Stun maxed for base then durability

Chem maxed for base then durability

NS shard or janta hide.

The thinking is that it will have resists to all damage types at least and an effectiveness and or encum slice will be good.

Let me know what you think. Nice work again!!

NICE work

I just finished my suit on Flurry a week or two ago and did similiar things as you (each piece a little different)

Also have to say...love that last pic..that will make a guy with full RIS jealous and I thought we had everything.

BUT?

I am curious why you used the krayt stuff and not shoot for a good slice?

Why not use a good -30 mind shard or janta hide? even on one?

I had a left bicept get to 90% base, 77% kinetic, 11% stun (no acid) with a good slice but 70-80 hams

also had boots at 44% kinetic, 90% base (no stun/acid) get to 0 mind ham with a shard.

I have never used Rancor hides either, have you?

Would any of you mind posting the schemtics for each piece so I can use them in a tool I'm developing?

Yeah, basiclly I'm developing a tally tool and I have the exact ingredient requirements for the boots and chest plate, but those are the only listings I've been able to find. So it doesn't have to be an image if you feel like writing out the ingredient requirements(including quantities) for all the other pieces.

If you'd ratheremail me screenshots of the schematics, that would be great too. Just PM me for my email addy.

Thanks

I have/had no intentions of slicing any of these pieces. If I were to make a PVP suit of this, I would do it ALOT differently.I just plan to keep this suit as a display.

I had thought about the ns shards and layers but I felt the piece would be more attractive with most of the protection in the special protects.

I havent used any Rancor Hide in RIS but probably wouldnt be opposed to using them in a future piece. I like trying different things. I did a little bit of experimenting leading up to making the pieces but the experimenting was done on Comp.

Nightsister / Albatross Comp Helm: (2 8% NS layers, 1 R.I.S. Layer, 1 Shard with very nice stats(dont remember stats) R.I.S. Layers were 4% 1H/1A/0M 523

Albatross Comp. Helm: (3 - 3% 0H/0A/-2M 500+ R.I.S. Layers)

if they are for display, thats all the more reason to slice them.

yea especially since its now proven that slicing does notmake it take more damage.

Very nice suit although i prefer the more clean NSlayered janta/shard variant
