Thread: 24% base Krayt composite segments

most of te segments ad scales ive looted are 4-10% .. came across 9 identical 24% ..
now my impression has always been that the krayt armor loot is prety useless.. but are tese 24% ones actualy worth using ?

I can make 36% segments.
The krayt segments are good for unbuffed armor. Usually come out low encum with high durability.

I make 36% segments on Chilastra aswell...
I just throw all my krayt segments on the bazaar instead..

What makes higher level krayt segments good, is everything remains slicable. Everything stays in base ( stun vuln), and has low low low ham, before slicing. Yours are decent. Looking at around 55% base ( depending on final combine resources) with ham 20 to 40 points lower than normal.

They are a different kind of armor.
With high krayt segments I was able to get an 80% base! helm with 250 ham
In my opinion that is good. now..
With 14% krayt segments you get about 50% or 60% base, im not sure which is basically junk. The 20% and higher stuff makes armor that can compete with other stuff.
They are good, They wont make you rich but have a good armorsmith making something out of them for you

They usually have great integrity and make good grinding armor or SEA holders.

no clue.. server specific.. but that'll do about 60% armor at decent ham...
the orignial will do 55-58 depending on resources... but again about 20-40 ham less. nice for sea and such, or for unbuffed look cool armor

I've used 49% segments, whichresulted in armor with 80% everything except vulnerable to stun and lighter than even normal advanced composite. I made a helmet and gloves.

yes those are really nice segs, make really nice low ham comp. hope for eff slices seeing they dont have layers. Or well for that effective slice a suit of this if you can get all eff will be about 50% i think and under 250 ham.. even 200 with all really good eff slices. great suit of armor by anyones standards.. never tryed it in pvp but lack of stun would null it anyway... But it would be fun to try against another damage type.
krayt segs go up to 40% or atleast thats the highest i have heard of.. and btw and 35% seg is heavy as hell, unlike the krayts which are incredibly light in comparison
