This is just an idea I had so just bare with me, and let me know what you think. (And, as with all my posts, if there is another post with a similar idea please let me know, would love to see other people's thought on the subject)
We all know about the coming combat balance and along with it the composite nerf. I understand it to be that the Devs want to tone down the almost invunerability of players and make good armor hard to find. That why I think there should be a few different super elite armorsmith proffessions. All of them would branch from Master AS and (in my mind) would be a single branch of about 4 to 6 boxes. They could each specialize in one type of awesome armor, and each armorsmith could only do one. They could have one be high resistance armor (like 80%, I'm pretty sure that will soon be considered amazingly strong); another could be a higher rating of armor, like medium, with low resists (or normal resists); another could be very low encumberances; and the last could be sheilds that are actually worth something (maybe they wont break after three hits, hehe).
But then I understand how we all are able to grind our way though most crafting professions in a week (if that long). So we need to make it hard to get to the best armor possible. So I say have the novice box give you the ability to craft some items that are mediocre and give you XP in the specialized branch, but make those items either hard to make (you need to loot an item in order to make it, like BH armor for Mandalorian would be a prime example), or make the xp gained from making the items so rediculously low that it would take a week of pure grinding just to get the first box. And then make it so that only the Master box will give you anything else to craft. If they wanted to make this good stuff even harder to make they could have the final Master's product need multiple loot items that come from completely random spawns. (I understand how much all of us crafters hate needing looted items for things we craft, but I think this would be a decent comprimise).
Well, that's my two cents worth. I don't put them in very often, so please let me know what you think.
