Thread: Recrafting a Mandalorian Helmet

I have recently been able to get hold of a pre-cu Mandalorian Helmet, which I can convert into a schematic.


I've read the stickies, however there is some conflicting advice here and so would love to clear up a few questions :


1) I understand a master AS actually crafts the helmet?

2) Would it be unwise to craft a helmet right now?

3) As for the color palette, would the crafter have to have Master DE in addition to Master AS to get the full color palette to make the helm?

4) Is the color palette for these bugged right now?

5) Is there screenshots of the schematic during the load up process and also the full color palette.


I would normally be quite so inquistive, but since the item is pretty valuable, I'd like to do the best I can to make it remarkable and as I want it.


Apologies if these questions are answered elsewhere, I posted because of conflicting information, information I wasn't sure was current and also I will update this for others so it will act as a resource in itself.

2) Would it be unwise to craft a helmet right now? The palette is currently very limited due to a bug - you basically have black, white, silver, bronze, and various shades of grayas your choices

3) As for the color palette, would the crafter have to have Master DE in addition to Master AS to get the full color palette to make the helm?There is currently no way to get the full palette for DE-made parts (such as the helm)

4) Is the color palette for these bugged right now?see above (yes)

5) Is there screenshots of the schematic during the load up process and also the full color palette. There should be one around - just search for mandalorian helmet palette or something similar

That's great, sorry for asking, I feel bad when people might have seen these questions before. I think it will be advisable to wait for now, frustrating as it is.


...but then again you guys have waited 3 publishes for fixes to your livelihood


I simply can't fathom why it is broke when it was working just after the CU? I really hope SOE fixe this up and also Bio-Engineer crafting too. It really is top priority for all crafters, the people who supply players with clothing/armor, the people who allow new players to be impressed by the depth of the game when looking at other players.... Valarian's quest can wait a few publishes surely?


Devs, crafting is high end stuff for faithful/long time/maturecustomers of SWG, please give them what they want as the top priority.

Update from 2 CSRs :


One says it is game intended that there is a restricted palette

Another says it is a bug, so please bug it (like that hadn't happened before)


How would AS feel about supplying Armor customization kits from high end resources (using quite a bit to make them rare), the higher the quality, the more colors available.


The code is there from when you could recolor comp a while ago


Surely this would be a quicker fix while SOE try delving through the code? AS can color their armor and it addresses bug like this? Also keeps it within the realm of AS too.
