Thread: Combat Upgrade for Dummies, Armorsmith edition 1.5
- armor is now a point based system instead of resists (max resist is 10000)
- armor now requires certification that is gained as you level in certain professions
- armor is in 3 categories recon, battle, and assault
- there are 3 craftable faction armors for each faction, one for each category
- Recon armor has higher energy resists (imagine a free energy layer)
- Assault armor has higher kinetic resists (imagine a free kinetic layer)
- just because you are novice elite profession doesnt mean you can wear the armor (there are three types, basic, standard, advnaced) so you basically need to be master fencer to wear advanced battle armor
CONVERSION STUFF (live stuff)
- you can "refit" armor by using radial menu, change it to ubese, tantal, padded, bone, comp or chitin
- you can only refit an armor once
- if a piece of armor is refit, it forgets that it was sliced
- all preCU armor in crates doesn't convert
- segments did convert to battle/assault/recon (all those comp are now assault)
- preCU layers show 0 resists
preCU componets show +0 healthmost preCU loot enahancers are +2-+15 health- post CU ubese shirts, ubese bandoliers, padded and mabari belts craft without sockets
- interwoven RIS segs use same resources as regular RIS
- feathered appearance doesn't alter appearance
- health bonus from enhancers caps at +50 per peice
CRAFTING POST-CU QUICK HITS
- post CU gloves and boots craft at 100/100 condition and do not have sockets
- do NOT convert your 4 socket 35k condition composite/ubese gloves/boots!!!!! they will convert to 100/100
- factional armor schematics go straight to datapad so can't be traded
- IMP psgsno longer bemade in factory
- IMP psgs now have +10 ranged/melee accuracy
- if you pull preCU imp psgs from crate it is +10 melee/ranged accuracy
but only 99 on energy resistsfixed - gloves/boots dont need a core
- BH converted to crafted BH armor and can not be made into Mandalorian (you now have option of making it into loot or crafter BH armor)
- armor padding converted to battle segments
- loot dropped post CU, is now stacked (i.e. janta hides) but you can not stack preCU componets or restack postCU componets if you take one out of stack
- you must pull all looted componets out of stack when doing factory (if you put a stack of 12 in, it will eat them, must pull out all 12)

Why?
ask a specific question and you will get a specific answer

Why?
Resources, stats that matter and the % that each has towards the area it effects?
