Thread: Up and coming AS.....
Ok, what should I get along with AS? Another craft or combat?
I'm just starting off myself and barely got to the point of making good armor. I planned on being an armorsmith/shipwright, but I have only had time for one at the start. I think it would be best to get some combat skills, some scout harvesting and start working on gathering the needed resources. It has kept me busy, but has paid off with good armor w/ little overhead from the high price you have to pay for good resources. I enjoy a pretty good profit margin on my armor.
I still plan on eventually gaining Shipwright also, but it would have been very difficult to get both businesses started together.
If you haven't started farming your own resources yet...do it now. Start with minerals, check SWGcraft.com, they keep a pretty up-to-date list of what resources are spawning where and even give their stats. Sell half of your take on the bazaar and use the rest for crafting. After you make some bank...invest in a large extractor. You should be able to keep them all going with two or three wind generators that you deploy when you run low on power and then redeed them when you stockpile some power. You won't get rich this way...but once you have a couple of big extractors and a few wind generators, you should be able to make enough to feed your crafting needs, and have a little money in the bank. I've got 2 large mineral harvesters,1 large chemical and three small wind generators that I deploy as described above and I haven't had to beg for resources or money yet.
Again, this is obviously not a formula for making lots of money, but it should help you to get to MAS, then the money should start flowing like wine...hopefully. Good luck with the grind!

Check this thread for a couple of template ideas for the self-sufficient armorsmith (or about as close as you can get).
