Ok im trying out AS and having a Hell of a time understanding why im only gettting 36 xp per combine on them...

what gives...my friend is next to me making Ships and getting 4500 per ship ...Am i doing it wrong?

At the first tier it only offers Mabari and Bone..Nothing Else to grind for AS

Presently im grinding Cores/segments for Bone and making the final Pieces ....Does the Kinetic matter for Xp?

Is grinding Bone a Mistake?....or is AS just a waste of time?i s this the way it is? or am i missing somthing?.

......Seems like either i am missing somthing or the Trade just plain sucks till you do a 36 xp pt per grind to the next tier

any thoughts or ideas?

If you've got plenty of resources you could do a factory run of recon cores and grind mabari chest plates. Have no idea what kind of xp they give, but it seems to be the path recommended as the quickest but most expensive way to master. Might be worth it at least to get to 3000 AS and ubese shirts. You won't find anything that gives anything close to what your shipwright friend is getting.

You are getting36 XP on segments, right? But when you create a core you should get a good bit more than that. Since creating armor is a 3-step process (segment-->core-->appearance), you geta pretty decent amount of XP for the final product, assuming you did each process by hand and didn't use a factory to make any of the components. Have you tried putting those bone biceps and bracers on the bazaar for about 2K credits each? Do you have a wearables factory so you can make factory crates of segments and cores? You'll need factory crates of cores for pieces like chest plates, helmets, and leggings. You can charge a good bit more for these pieces, I charge about 7K credits for chest plates and 5K for helmets and leggings. This is the approach I'm taking, making the biceps and bracers and their segments and cores by hand to get the XP, and making the other pieces with my factory cores.

It is nice to see someone doing the profession the old-fashioned way rather than just buying 30 resource deeds.

LOL I couldn't afford 30 resource deeds anyways, just yesterday I hit 1 million in the bank after starting AS a few weeks back. Most of that I made from selling basic armor to players on the bazaar. I rather craft things that I can sell than just grind in practice mode to get there quick. After two weeks I only have two skill boxes, so it will be a long time before I master it. But at least I won't be one of those Master Armorsmiths who says "Now how do I make armor?".

Ah, reminds me of my beginnings a year ago during the free trial. It took me about two months to master armorsmith because I was crafting the whole way. When I wasn't crafting, I was hunting. Sold a lot of bone and mabari on the bazaar. Gotta love 7 percent kinetic armorweave! Had a small shop right outside Mos Eisley, too, with two factories.

I didn't even know what grinding was, and I'm sure I wouldn't have done it if I did. Waste all these precious resources (when 200k of anything was a LOT!)? No, sir!

The cores/segments are still quite a drain on resources/cash. I got to 3000 pretty quick with a factory run of segments and I "ground" cores until I got 3000. After that, the ubese shirts give 94xp in practice mode and only require 50 resources a piece. That's the cheapest way I've seen so far, but like others have said...the grind is extremely monotonous. I don't know at what point I'll stop grinding and start selling, but I think it would be hard to sell crappy armor...but hey, I'm a n00b.

The ubese shirt grind is an utter killer, 94 xp a pop is awful. Im just coming to the end of the grind now and its worse than any other ive done.

Before devs make changes they should be made to actually grind a profession...grinding 600k xp at 94 xp a time will change their minds im sure.

I grinded Mabari Chest plates to 1xxx, from there I'm on Kashyyyk Chest plates. The resources are a #$%@ to get hold of, but we know that already right.
