been tired of the full composite suits running around. Have made a suit for my alt and have gotten some interesting comments on it but here is a suit I have put together.
helm, Ubese (going to change to Tantel)
chest, Composite (red)
Bi-cep, Padded (red and purple)
Bracer, Ubese (yellow)
gloves, Padded (red and purple)
legs, Ubese (olive green)
boots, Padded (red and purple)
it is an interesting suit looks like some high tech basket ball uniform. Going to go with the Tantel helm to add the American football look.
If you have any different armor combos please share, unless this is just me to use the mix and match armor.

Sounds like an interesting combination, might have to try that one out to see how it looks.
I just play around with the coloring on my comp to match where my beloved Jaguars are playing each week, either home or away: red bracers (red Trando, go figure), teal or white biceps and chest, black or white pants, always black helmet. Only two people in my guild have ever figured that out.

I've been making a set for an RP guild that replicates the Rebel NPCs you see around bases.
Padded - Chest, legs, biceps and gloves
Comp - boots and bracers
Helm - Persons choice. Most go without.
There are 2 color combos...
Grey w/ med brown pads (regular marine)
Grey w/ blue pads (Captain) *This is actually the default.
It's nothing exotic, but looks good.
One of the goals is to maintain a comparable resist to the Imp faction armor, so the resists are around 40. The rest going into HAM. I think they'll be lowering the resist some. I'm hearing that trooper armor isn't that high.

Full padded + RIS helmet is the way to go
Doesn't hurt when it's 80% base padded made from exceptional acklay hides
