As a new armorsmith is there a big difference in making armor with normal armor segments compared to making armor with the advanced armor segments?

Would think so considering they call them 'advanced'. even with the best resources of regular will not get as good as average resources for advanced. never bothered with crappy resources so can't compare there

Some of the rarer armors I use regular segments, just 'cause people want 'em for looks mostly but for comp and ubese, only time I ever used normal segments was the first few sets I ever made.

/agree, with the sole exception being when I make composite segs for a DE to use - then it's standard, grind quality segs all the way

Retired after CU, came back for NGE, leaving again...

A crappy advanced segment is better than a very good regular segment.
