u need to buy clothing attachemts with the modification "+ xx armoursmith experimentation". You need a total of +20 (10 per point) to get 12pt.

Along with that u will also want "armour assembly" tapes as they will get u more amazing successes.

NOOOO!!! don't support the blood merchants!!! With the current crafting system you really don't need to be a 12pt smith. save your money for resources, you can make capped armor with only 10pts.

hmm Pre CU yeah def 12 points were needed, Post CU nah wouldn't bother I can max one line of exp as a 10 point usually with 1or 2 points left over and spending those point on condition seens to make no difference in the final combine. Use the money to buy some res kits, Res will make far more difference to your armor that 12 points ever will.

I'm glad I came back after the CU am enjoying AS a lot, but a lot of the skill in crafting has gone, it's all about res now, and I used to enjoy juggling my exp points trying to squeeze the most out of my res.

Bah no edit yetI meant, spending points on condition in the components made no difference, exp on conditionon the final combine obviously does

Yeah, even 11 points is overkill for making armor.

The only thing a 12 point smith isbetter at is making PSG's.

But you might want to take your chances and invest now since prices are down and the devs "might" fix AS in the months/years to come.

For today and the near future you are way better off spending it on server-best resources.

Thank you to confirm that armor experimentation mods are currentlyuseless.

Perhaps armor assembly mods are more usefull ... can you confirm that?

i dont really see where 12 points is neccessary but the price of points is cheap now and i am still hoping that they fix armorsmith so that we can use the full 12 points to actaully make a difference in the armor.

Well, Assembly is not visible like Experimentation, but I do believe it still works.

Along with some cake and port in a research center, it"should" help. (Can't guarantee anything)

The only time you REALLY want a good Assembly rate now is when making high-end armor like Faction,RIS or health bonus stuff so you don't waste loot items/schematic usage. And even so, most of the time it's just for the final combine so it only effects the condition.

It's not like before when you needed amazing successes in every stage of crafting.

So if you have money to spare, go for it!

If not, you really don't need it IMHO.

experimentation on condition in the core experimentation definitley does effect final condition. I am a 10pt smith but I work on cores till I get one amazing sucess and all greats in exp. So I get to use 2pts in condition. This changes the final condition upwards of 1-2k. Not much but it is something.
