I'm out lookin for these scales to have some RIS armor made, but I am unclear wether or not I have found the right scales. I have been killiin nothin but the "Giant Dune Kimos" and I have found...
Adv battle cores - worthless I'm sure
Kimo Scales - I'm confused on wether these are it or not
Nothing so far has been labeled "Giant Dune Kimo Scales"... so I'm wonderin if I have got the goods or not. Thanks in advance for any response, and please skool me or point me to a past link. Ive looked and cant seem to find it in the faqs or by search.

Adv. Battle Cores are probably useful to someone especially if they are over 5000 in special protection.
Kimoglia Scales are definitely keepers although not necessarily valuable. They are one of the few assault armor health enhancers in the game. Rancor Hides are another and a little better, but also seem to be very rare atm.
The component you are looking for is called "Giant Dune Kimoglia Scales" and will have no stats. The graphic icon used to be the old hide resource container box, but I'm not sure since CU.

Go to the kimo town POI on Lok and kill the GDK there. He will drop scales about once an hour, it is of course random. They will look like a hide harvest icon in your inventory but will say giant dune kimogila scales. He usually drops about 6 in a stack. And he respawn in just over 5 minutes. He has a buddy standing near him, but you can fight the Kimo several times before he respawns.
Between scale drops you will usually pick up some decent battle cores, but they really aren't any better than high quality crafted cores, so don't expect them to be worth too much. Keep in mind that it takes about 12 to build a suit of armor that most people are selling for between 250k and 350k.... I had a guy try to sell me 6 for 4 million credits the other day
