I am a master armorsmith and have the chance to make a suit of +350health 7000energy battle armor or a set of 8100 energy armor. My alt I am making it for is an ithorian so the armor choices for him are rare so I am trying to make myself a suit that would be best for fighting jedi. I have full mitigation for both suits, so wich would be better. How much more resistance is 8100 vs 7000 with the diminishing returns. Is it that much difference that I wont block enough extra to make up the 350 health bonus? Any thoughts apreciated. Im also collecting items to make a semi health enhanced set of 8100 recon that I think will be my best choice. I am strictly after blocking energy and the elemental from a saber nothing else.

look at the clickies above for the formulae to show you what the resists are. Off the top of my head, I think the difference between 7000 and 8100 is about 5% or so.

If you have some adk's to slap on the health enhanced armor, I would go for 7000 battle. If not, I wouldn't consider using it for jedi hunting, as you run the risk of losing a very expensive suit of armor very rapidly.

The difference in energy protection, btw,should bearound 3.8%.
