Quick one - do my Peko feathers, Gurk hides - do they have to be in stacks to work? Or can I buy a stack of, say, 3 gurk hides - and a stack of 5?

Serials don't matter at all for RIS components ... everything is handmade.

keep in mind that the last unit of a stack is unusable in hand crafting

You do know that you can bypass that, right? Just keep clicking "unstack" until the option no longer appears, and it's perfectly usable. I think you can also drop the item and pick it back up, and that clears the stacking problem.

I found another way to not bother with last component of a stack.

. put your stacked components in a container (bag/satchel/etc ...)in your inventory.

. open this container and:

> unstack components you need that will appear directlyin your inventory.

> it's the last componentwith a (1) just drag&drop it on the inventory small icon (lower left I think)

. close this container

. start crafting

I craft my RIS segments like that and never encountered a problem (I always proceeed (1) components first btw).
