Hello All-

I am not an Armorsmith nor do I have any knowledge of it. With that said....

I have gathering up everything an armorsmith should need to make me a set from before the CU. The Hides, Bones, Scale, Feathers, NS Layers and I just came into a bunch of really awesome Steel, all ratings 950+. What else should I get?

THX

You are what you do, when it counts.
Here's a hint...if they want sympathy? It's in the dictionary between sniffle and syphilis.

Not much. You really don't need to bother with resources unless you're getting a very new smith to make your RIS. Just the creature loot is all you really need. There's also an RIS FAQ in the stickies.

I am a new AS. Can you explaing your statement to me? I know I will need good resources for maxxed layered primus. But I do not need to worry about good resources for the cores for capped stats? Or for the final combine for cond?

What he meant is that the established AS's already have the best stuff to make your armor. When I was new, I tried doing the same thing and when I showed up with all my resourced the AS laughed at me. It will actually cause the AS more work to use your resources versus his own because he probably has some of the subcomponents already made. Now if you were going to have a friend do the armor who isn't all that far along in his armorsmith, they might need the resources he brings in order to make the quality of armor he was looking for.

So your answer is the armorsmith still needs to worry about the resources, but the buyer shouldn't have to.

Thanks for clearing that up. Because when I was reading oth the RIS thread in FAQ this statement was confusing me. About the shopping list.

Titanium Aluminum

Chanlon Intrusive Ore

Rori Fiberplast

Polysteel Copper

Oridium Intrusive Ore

Laboi Mineral Crystal Crystalline Gemstone

Talusian Fiberplast (High OQ+SR+DR)

Chromium Aluminum (High OQ+SR+DR)

** Qualityof the Talusian Fiber and Chronium Alum used in the final combineincreases the armor'scondition. Quality for the other RIS specific resources listedabove DO NOT MATTER. **

Can you tell me what was so confusing?

If anything, I'll edit the guide.
