Hi guys,
well i just hit master armorsmith and i started trying to get resources.
Always having the gated resources in mind, Im watching SWGcraft and travelling to all the planets. In like 5 hours, I wasn't able to find a single really good resource (like 900+ on the important thingies) so..
Do you really need 900+ on all the stats of all of the resources used in all components you need to get a decent armor with 67%+ resistances and good encumbrances?
And if yes, how were you able to find decent resources (except buying them)?

It's all a matter of time.
I didn't powergrind my way to master because I knew I didn't have the resources. It took a month to reach master, and even then I only had maybe 1-2 good resources that spawned during that time. It was probably a full 6 months before I had top notch all the way across the board, then another 2 months + buying a handful of older rare resources before I could make 72% base composite.
There's no way you will be able to get the top resources unless you have gobs of cash to dump, and even then you probably won't really be able to produce enough suits to meet mass market needs. You'll be limited to high quality niche markets.

As Ox- said, it really is a matter of time and patience to get the top quality resources. Although you don't need ALL resources to be 900+/900+ to make 67% base, just most of them - or enough in the really high 900's to counter the effects of those that are less sterling.
In terms of acquiring those godly resources there are only 3 ways I know of, the first is time, the second is to join forces with an established smith (this being the method I used...), and the third is buying them. But to tell you the truth, I wouldn't worry overly much at this stage if you don't have server-best resources as it won't stop you from selling quite good armour - it won't be the best, but that doesn't mean people won't buy it: as there usually tends to be quite a market for mid-range PvE armour. And all the while you're camping on SWG Craft's front lawn waiting to see that next godly spawn of some resource to add to your collection. Couple that with the experience you'll gain in the meantime, and when you do finally get all the best resources you'll be making WOW! style armour that people will remember

I dont know that cap on berrylius copper, but a 900oq 400SR is very good (the SR is capped)
Kiirum steel is also hard to get a high SR
