Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but i never visit the AS forums.
I've heard that it will be capped at 60%. If this is so...what will happen to armor that is 80%? Will it drop to 60? And if so, does that mean armor at 65% will drop to 60% as well, or would 65% armor drop lower than 80% armor come combat rebalance?
I'm just wondering cause i have some 65% fully encumbrance sliced suits, and if it would drop to 60% come combat rebalance...then they would be some sweet suits with low ham.

No public data on it yet, also I so not think anything is fixed yet......
But I do hope they do not do what you say, there is nothing wrong with armor as it is, only the buffs that make the idea of HAM pointless.. If people had to worry about HAM you would see lower base armor anyway!

armorsmiths blame doctors
doctors blame armorsmiths
All in all, it's the combination of the two.
I really don't know how the devs can "fix" armor, without hurting AS's drastically.

I don't mind changing the way we do things at all. What I mind is whether or not the hundreds of suits I just made are going to be useless.
Hope this is not a waste of time, resources, and credits. I guess I'll just keep going full steam and trust that there will bean equitable solution. The other option is to hold off on crafting armor until the combat revamp...now that jtl is out, it might be smart to slow down production anyway. hmmmm

Hope it isn't going to be too drastic. Just finished a run of 500 sets.

actually the only way to make the useless is by taking them away. Your suits might become collector Items just like the old ubese shirts that don't have a condition. Which I think are going for about 40k

they aren't really going to hurt armorsmiths with the CU. an armorsmith with the best resources now, is still going to be making better armor than an armorsmith with lesser resources after the CU. the thing that will change though is that the other types of armor will actually be useful instead of just composite.

Doctors blame AS? Really? And what argument do the Doctors use to justify the blame? That we AS should make armour with lower HAM costs?

Actually, it's the customer's fault.
They demand the highest buffs and the highest protection armor! Damn them!(hehe).
Anyway, I believe that someeffects caused by changes to the game don't come to the spotlight until we try them in live. Even after going through testing (not exactly the same enviornment).
Iapplaud any effort from both the player and developer community to make the game better. It's the little things that make the difference though. If there is a drastic change in the way armor is made, I'd hope the game designers would try to be as fair as possible to the armorsmith community when they undergo the change to the new system. Its when that fails that there are huge problems. So far though, I've been satisfied with the way they respond to feedback.

The CU won't go into effect until early Spring at the earliest... i.e. not for at least 4-6 months from now. Thus... any armor you make today better be sold and worn and completely demolished from use by the time the CU starts rolling out.
I will remain an armorsmith producing the best armor I can.. until I leave the galaxies.

Mandalore Armor from the DWB is 58%. And that is supposed to be the "best" armor around.
