i have just finished grinding armour smith on my alt, and have been playing with about with it, but i only seem to be able to hit 50% base, 80% kinetic special no probs........ but still only 50% base, thats with all my points pilled into base, and maxed out........, anyone got any idears??

I got about 50% or so my first few times. Then a fellow AS told me that when i make my layers to make them 6% kinetic and everything else into base. Then experiment everything into base on the actual suit. He was right cause i just hit 65% base this morning. So I would say give that a shot next time. Hope it helps. Also make sure you are using the advanced segs and good materials

Right, max out the base on the layers, then depending on how good they are, you may want to max out encumberence (as best you can) or kinetic and encumberence mix (I never experiment on kinetic on my high base armours asit will reach it anyway).

Max out base on the Advanced comp segment, then encumberence.

Max out base on the final piece, and then encumberence.

Are you doing all that?
