I looted 7 kryat composite armor segments.

40% base effect

7000 integrity

Can anyone tell me if these are good or still useless causeI know the 10% base ones are useless.

Those are very good. To give you an idea, most high base crafter made comp segments are 33-34%. Those are with high ham. Yours will make a higher base with ALOT less ham, and alot more condition. Very very nice. You won't have stun, so it won't make good PvP armor, but hey....

my rule of thumb for armor has always been that with good resources you usually get around double the base % of the segments.

So those, you could very easily make some close to if not 80% armor pieces. Make one hell of a chest plate and helmet for sure. And with slicing you get 90% easily.

I'd expect at least 76% Base with these. With 7, you could make 2 helmets and a pair of gloves, or a helmet and a chest plate (I think you don't need to schematic these).

Good find anyway.

Segments, not scales. Everything will be in base, including electricity.

I would definitly go helm/chest on those, use port and cake to ensure safe crafting and do so in a manufacturing city.

Its hard to get enough segments for a full set but chest takes the most damage and alot of pvp attacks are to the head.

I actually quite like using these in Bracers and Biceps. They create high condition, decent base (if they're good), low HAM armour.

If they have the sockets, and with the right slice, they become good items to hold armour attachments in (with the loss of Ubese Shirts and Bandoliers).

I use these to make 4 socket high condition gloves. Perfect for adding armor attachments!
