Thread: Resource Availability
Before the flamers/trollers get started, Yes I am aware that resource availability on many servers in many galaxies have been turned over already. My question relates to a database of about 700 resource types that I have already located since I began playing the day after opening:
I assume that all resources are, ultimately, available on all planets, though not at all times.
Does anyone have any information that would dispute that assumption? I have found out about a few resources that area available at the swgcraft.com and swgcenter.com, but these, along with a few other sites that I have found, have been trying to keep track of where the resources are/were located. I've noticed a pattern that the resource stats never change when located on a different planet. As a weaponsmith, I am trying to get as many resource stats, especially on the mineral types, to determine which resources to spend time sampling and which ones to not bother with as they won't make weapons with taking any time with. Obviously we can't all run around spending huge amounts of credits jumping planets each time the resource lists turn over, but thats what it seems like I'm going to have to do. And I feel for any artisan who just dropped the creds for a harvester, power, and maint and then got screwed because the resource pools got turned over.
If you know that a particular resource is located only on one or two planets in the galaxy, please post the name and details.
Thanks

Quote of the day : "Yes I am a weaponsmith. No I will not make you a 'dope', 'phat', 'leet' or any other kind of weapon for free. Yes I have weapons for sale in the bazaar. No I don't think they are overpriced. If you have something intelligent to ask or a legitimate in game need, please send me an in-game email. Thank you. Have a nice day."

Skip layers. 99% of my sales are unlayered. Layers only reduce a small percentage more damage and consume 4 times the resources.
If you really want to do layers just worry about primus for PvP suits and energy for jedi hunting suits. The other layers are pointless or in the case of kinetic lower energy too much.

I stand corrected (even though my stats came from a swgcraft search?!?)
Keep in mind that SWGCraft is only as accurate as the people that take the time to update it.
