My Dear Armorsmiths,

I have a couple of packs full of looted Battle Armor Segments that all show stats of either 820 or 640. If I hand these over to my friendly neighborhood Armorsmith what quality armor (in general) might I expect them to produce (or will a top 'smith just sniff and look down their nose at me, which from a Bothan can be quite a look)? I'm wondering if I should hang on to them orjust sell them on the bazaar by the pound or maybegive them to the first Novice Armorsmith I see hopping off the shuttle into Mos Eisley?

I know there are many factors that have an effect on armor "quality", but I would appreciate any word of advise.

Many thanks,

they are usually junk.

I use 920+ stats on my segments to hit the cap, the high ones you have around 820 will hit at around 4800-5400 base depending on your core resources.

As far as i know no looted components are superior to the crafted stuff.

Whenever my guildies loot these, I use them for free grinding armor for the rest of the guild. They're not totally useless.

Ah, but he said segments, not cores, meaning the segments must be made into cores. He needs segments with the same serial number to make the cores, and I'd say segments with those stats aren't worth the trouble.

Looted cores I use regularly - looted segments never. Farrrr too much trouble...

I would say grinding armor for guildies, maybe if the guy has some looted cores you could use thoses for the helm, chest, pants and then use the looted segments to make cores for the arm peices, but IMO more trouble then it worth hand crafting components is pretty much my least favorite thing to do.
