Hello
I'm Lullu Lebeau from Scylla. I'm just recently starting on that server and have picked up armor smith...ATM I am just novice armor smith..with limited funds. I have about 8k copper,9k steel,2k fiberplast,3k inert petrochemical. Along with 20k. The minerals were given to me as a gift, and now I'm curious how I could either A.) gain xp in a quick and not-so-expensive manner. Or B.) Gain credits at my level through smithing.
Thankyou so much in advance -hug attack-

Armor upgrade kits. Then start supplying a friendly/generous smuggler. Not sure what the market value is on your server but you should be able to pay for the cost of the upgrade kits to finance the grind but prob will not make a profit by doing this, but at least you should break even.

god i love happy people...
umm well just grind out the AUK's... basically if you just started and chose AS right off the bat you're gonna have a hard time
most people dont bother with it till they have 3-5 mil to invest b/c its so damn expensive to get started, so you'll probably need to run missions to finance your grind. if you were on my server and i wasnt leaving tomorrow morning for 6 weeks i'd give you some cash b/c i love happy people

Yeah, I had a Resource buisness for the first 6 months of the game and started AS with a 5 mil nest egg and I still had to sell a few Rare Items I had just to keep some money in my pocket.
I am currently at 8 mil so far invested in AS
And I still have yet to make my first suit to sell.

You could do the whole grind for free, ( althought ake a little time). Hand sample metal and chems, until you hit personal armor 3, then hand sample what you need for ubese shirts. Grind as you sample. PS, ubese shirts sell well on the bazaar too, for 4 socket.

What I would do if I was just starting out again is to get to Personal Armor II I think (Chitin) and focus on getting good resources for that armor. Next, level up the experimentation tree first followed by the others.
Then, even with minimal experimentation you can make decent armor that you can sell on the bazaar. Price it so you at least break even if not a little better. It will sell, don't worry about vendors yet, I made my first million on Chitin, granted it was in the early days but you should still be able to sell some of it.
You can also augment your income by selling off extra resources that you mine.
Another bit of advice is to take a look at what resources you will need to make good composite armor, it is NEVER too early to start stockpiling. Watch SWG craft.com - they don't always list everything but most of the good stuff is listed there.
Take your time and learn by experience what does what in experimentation, refer to the many outstanding posts here and most importantly - Have fun, Armorsmithing can be awesome when you finally are able to make solid armor.
Good luck

My Biggest problem is that I've tried AUK! However....The experiance is massivly slow. With a craft macro I can't even get the first box in two hours.
