I just picked up some 20/10/42 shards. I've been working on a low ham RIS suit and wanted to see if anyone could get me exact numbers on the results using these shards. Yes I know it will vary from server to server, but typically stats from various servers are within only a couple points difference if your using server best resources.
Basically I'm wanting to make some 0/0/0 HAM biceps/bracers and need to see if it's possible with these or if I need to look into picking up a different set of shards. Obviously the mind should hit the 0 mark but I wasn't sure where the health/action would end up sitting. You could also assume I will likely be using somewhere around 8-10% layers which will probably have between -5 to -8 action on em.
So given this information what stats would you end up hitting on biceps/bracers/boots???

I'd use those on a helm....
You could prob get 0/0/0 on the other parts if you used a RIS layer also.

You might have trouble with action cost. At only -10 it might not be enough. So to compensate you might have to use 2 NS layers with -7 or -8. But if you want to make sure you will end up with 0-HAM I suggest using one RIS layer with max experimentation to HAM.

Use one NS layer, a 4% crafted stun layer (I assume this is what you'll want to use), and a crafted RIS layer (3% base, -8/-8/-8) and these shards will easily get you there. Actually, the -42 mind would be wasted, since you could get 0/0/0 with a -20 mind shard.

Will be using interwoven RIS, I already have a great helm that's 80% kin/4% stun/76% base, with 32/0/94hams(encumbrance sliced). So I dont' need another helm, but I do need 0/0/0 ham biceps and bracers and hopefully boots too lol.
My main concern was for the health and action on these shards, are they high enough to get me down to 0 hams.

What would we be looking at for estimated base using this(lets just assume this is using 8% layers).

See if you can trade with another AS on your server. If you were on my server i'd trade you some of my 35/27/20 shards for those

why dont you just download armorsmith's little helper? i find its accurate to 1-2% of resists and right on for the encumbrance

That's a little tough to say precisely, but I would say around 80%kin, 4% stun, 64-65% base, not including any yellow cube you might throw in. This is assuming you definitely want 0/0/0 HAM - if you were prepared to go a little higher (probably still 0 mind and maybe action if you use those -42 mind shards), you can probably use a second NS layer in place of the RIS layer and improve the base. An alternative RIS layer design is to go for 4% base, 0/0/0, but that's no better than a NS layer really, so no point to that.

mainly cause I dont' know how to use it yet and from what I recall reading I need to know the resources being used and their stats(which I won't know all of the resources used and their statssince I'm not currently an AS). Thanks for all the info guys, I'll let ya know how it turns out when I craft em
