Thread: Viable high condition armor, how do you make yours?

I planned on hunting krayts so I went to the shop to experiment with high condition armor for grinding purposes. This armor will not be sliced because I want it to last as long as possible.

Well after trying many things involving maxing out integrity on all layers (which didn't work out too well because then my armor had terrible resistances)

So I finally came up with something that works for me, Maxed quality layers with the rest on intregity as normal. But in the final step when you're crafting the actual armor piece I put 6 bubbles in quality and 6 bubbles in the bottom row.

Results with amazing success

80% kinetic

67% base

44k condition.

How do you make yours?

-=Mauro=- Economy-Grind Composite

80% kinetic

69% electric

60% base

42-43k cond

I double layer two 10% kinetic 2% base layers with 10-13/10-13/10-13 ham using junk gemstone, mediocre poly and great metal.

slap together 4-piece suits with great inorganics and junk wooly. experiment on special in final after maxing base.... generally wont make schematic until i land amazing and 4-socket on piece.

i sell the 4-piece suits for 75k each. 30k chests, 10k gloves 15k boots 20k helm

also sell by crate on main vendor and bagged 5pack suits for day of krayt hunting.

very brisk business on these.... and profit margin is almost same as my stun comp. (hmm 15cpu wooly or 75cpu wooly?)

contemplating run of pants too, several have requested due to boots weaing so fast.

I was always under the impressin that effective sliced armor actually will last longer. Doesn' armor decay by a percent of the damage that gets through??So higher resists, less damage gets through, longer armor lasts?

Anyway, krayts make kinetic damage only .

For unsliced "krayt hunter" armor, I tinkered around on armorsmith little helper and used 3 identical kinetic layers with high oq/ma and sr when possible, but sr is a secondary concern. 7 points amazing in resistance, 5 point great in durability. With the segment, I experiment 6 points amazing in quality and 6 points great in duribility. For the armor experimentation, I put 4 points into quality and 8 points into resistance (which gives lots of condition). Final stats are in the neighborhood of 80kin/54elec/45base 48.5k+ condition. Its cheap and fun to make and a decent seller.

If you do decide to slice your armor, I think Crimson is right.

secret for 50k cond armor is to pump the special in the final combine... layers are important but they only make up like 10% of the total condition, high oq/ut final components are what make the difference
