I am looking to have 2 RIS helms crafted using interwoven RIS segments. I have the following loot items and was wondering what should be used for the other 2 layers? Will one kinetic layer be enough to get the kinetic special protection up to 80%? And would would I be able to get 80% base if an acid layer was used for the third layer?

7 identical 5% base NS layers

7 identical 4% base janta hides

7 identical 4% yellow geo cubes

I would get rid of the ns layers (they aren't so impressive) and use 3 4% base 11% kinetic (double amazing) kinetic layers. Whether or not you hit straight 80% depends on the resoruces and experiementation points of the armorsmith (12 point helps a ton).

If you want to get some acid protection look for krayt scales with high acid %, that way you dont' need an acid layer.

Furia, Kavala, Xana, Tarantella (Xana's alt, before NGE), all cancelled.(3 accts total)

2 Kinetic layers 4% base, 8% kinetic, 9-HAM

Here's why. Everyone seems to use 1 - Kinetic layer with 13-14 kinetic, 2-3% base,and 15-HAM + 2 NS layers.

If you do the math you gain 6% base and 3pts in HAM. Very good trade off I should say.

Using 3 Kinetic layers is too heave for RIS armor IMO. With my formula you would need a 6% layer and the janta and geo cube combine needs to be 10%. All which are not really hard to find.
