I've been watching Endorian Deciduous on Naritus since wookie schematics became known.
The current shift is pitiful, and I can't wait for it to go away. I first noticed it on 28 March, and it's still (11 Apr) here!!!!
That makes 14 days...anyone know the range of days that resources might stick?

Ive seen resources stick around for 21 days before and that was even with heavy mining, it could be a month who knows. On our server we had a very bad batch of dantooine berries alot fo the DOcs got to gether and mined it like crazy got it to shift fast. Dunno if anyone wats to do it with the endorian wood but it sucks on ahazi also, luckily I was able to pruchase seom from an old spwan giving me 58% kinetic wookie armor

The amount you dig doesnt have any effect... some things just stick around longer... minerals usually shift after 7-8 days, woods and some other floras usually shift after 10-16 days. If its been there 14 days then its due to shift soon.

You are quite correct Lomar, minerals Do seem to shift quicker than floral woods etc...
However, that is not to say that it is not based on how much of a resource is harvested...
I imagine there is a lot more people out there who harvest minerals than who harvest the Deciduous wood, so it is entirely possible that the shift rate is in fact based on the sum of the resources harvested...
Would be very easy to code as well...
They could set up a counter, and set it at oh say 1 billion, and with their database keeping track of how much of each resource each person has, they would know how much total has been harvested, and when the counter reaches zero, it shifts out...
Not that I am saying this is how it works, but it is still possible...

Unless its increased recently, then the 'run until depletion' theorem doesnt really match with game mechanics.
In the early days of BER3 personals and ER7 heavy harvesters, the mineral resources lasted 7-8 days.
Nowadays with almost everyone using ER10 mediums, or ER13 heavies, the resources still last just as long. Additionally to this, theres a lot more people harvesting resources today compared to in the early days of the server.
It could well be that the stuff shifts as it depletes, but if so, there must be a constantly increasing fluctuation which is based on the amount being harvested... it just seems too complicated, and going by occams razor (the easiest explanation is usually the correct one) the minerals just seem to shift out faster.

The second spawn of endor wood on bria (since we found out about the wookiee armor req's) has 900+ oq and we've been mining the sh't out of it for well over a week. Still there when I pulled my harvs up to start mining the first good spawn of nabooian fiberplast in months.
So if amount pulled up had any bearing I'm sure this very nice required wood would have turned over by now on bria.
