Armorsmith Archive
Thread: Help wanted on RIS armor.
The resource list is in one of the stickys at the top. You need high OQ and SR (preferably Mal and UT as well) resources.
You need Peko Peko feathers among other things for the layers, they are optional, but do reduce the encumbrance.
You need Giant Dune Kimo scales (very rare), Gurk King Hides (relatively common, but you need to find gurk natural spawn lairs to have any chance at getting a gurk king to spawn) and a woolamander harrower fragment (relatively rare, only because the only place it spawns - woolamander temple on yavin - is always camped)
Other than that, the skill of the armoursmith comes into play of course (more exp points = better quality) but on the other hand, the smith needs to have done the quest first, and theres not many done that simply because the stuff required for RIS is so hard to get, most people havent made one for the quest to get the schematic.

Many, many thanks... Justsomemore questions:
1/ Can I use something else then peko-peko feathers for the layers ? For instance that copper ? Or do I need all four thingies with (layer) behind it for each layer ?
2/ How many feathers do I need ? One for each layer ? And if so how many layers can I have ?
3/ Does RIS armor has a natural low kinetic resist ? Because I only saw the stats of two RIS parts and they both have veeeery low kinetic !!!
You need exactly what is listed. The loot items are 1 per piece. For the RIS layers you can have from 0-2 so you need from 0-2 feathers per piece. RIS armor, while currently bugged (documented in many other threads), can have very high resists. It can also have very low resists. Garbage in... garbage out.
