I have seen alot on this. I really feel the DEVS need to remove their heads from wherever they have them currently on this issue. This goes for weapons as well. I have NEVER seen anyone take a weapon to a WS to get repaired and the WS come back and say "sorry, your weapon completely fell apart." Anyways, I don't have any 100percent repair tools, the ones I have are about 99.8 or so. I have about 49 crates of them. I will never use them tho cause I don't bother to repair armor or weapons anymore. It is just too undependable and rediculus. If you have armor that has 25k points in it and repair it, you will never get 25k points of use out of it before you have a failure even if you are not letting it get halfway down. I wear it til it is worn out and that is what I recommend anymore.

Devs clearly do not play their creations and are utter clueless as to the results of their nerfs. They seem to be in love with their ideas and ignore the results.

A repair tool works like this

For example you have a 35000 composite chest plate and you use a 50% tool that means the repair will be around 50% of the current condition sometimes higher, a higher repair tool lets say 99% has the chance to repair the piece almost completely new so around 34k.

A 100% tool doesn't mean you can't fail, it means that it can almost repair the item back to 35000.

As for the skill tapes i heard they were broken.

Let's get one thing straight!!!! It is not 100% Tool!!!!! The functionality rating is 100.0, Just like the functionality rating on crafting stations are max 45 and crafting tools are max 15.0.

People that craft these things add the % and are wrong for doing so.... They do however work much better the higher the Function Rating!

I think the tools actually say (with 1000 resources) 99.9999% effectiveness.

On the one day crafting change you could make tools that said 100% effectiveness.

NO people! It says Functionality Rating!!! No % of how the tool will work!

It means that it has a better rate of functioning! Not that 100% of the time it will work! Or even that it will repair the item to 100%!

So, to sum things up : you CAN fail with a 100% tool ? Ack, I've been selling these rare things saying you can NOT fail.

Luckely none of my customers ever failed. Or at least, none told me about it.

Does a 15% effective crafting tool mean you crit fail 85% of the time, or does a 45% crafting station mean you get 45% amazing sucesses? Better yet, does maxing a bar to 100% on crafting mean you get 100% protection to that stat?

The percentages are relative, no where does it state that a 100% effectiveness tool means 100% repair rate. Like the examples above, the percentages are merely used as part of a calculation to determine the outcome.
