Thread: Some stats on Gurk King spawns/drops for the RIS hunters out there

I finally gave in and started going after some RIS components. The current spawn of Lokian leather is the best my server's ever seen and I figured I could kill some gurks and have a shot a hide.
Anyway, I only went after random "nest" spawns. I did kill a few of the other types - "thickets", "mounds", etc, but never got a king to spawn from them. I killed the static gurk king spawn about 2km from MountChaolt five times and never had a drop. I didn't worry whether or not the "nest" was spawning feral gurks on not, just went after any random "nest" spawning gurks.
On to the important part - here are the stats from the random gurk "nests" I took down:
35 nests destroyed
27 reclusive gurk kings spawned
6gurk king hides dropped
Not hard components to get. Keeping four for myself, two for the quest and one each for a helm and chest plate, and traded two for a fourth harrower bone frag and the one albatross feather I'll need for the quest. Now on to the GDK's. Soloed four so far, I'm sure many, many more to come...

out of all ris components, I have the most guk king hide. I get alot of people trying to offer them to me.
peko peko feathers seems to be the easiest to get. hard creatures but it seems to drop the component alot more. this was the first ris component that i stop getting
woolmander hallowers are easy creatures, but with one 2 on each server. its harder to get then the hide and feather
GDK. i give up. killed around 70 of them, no luck. when you get the you have looted all items message only to get kimo segements
