Thread: Anyone ever have a CSR resolve this problem?

I will start this off by saying that I am still a fairly new AS and was asked by a customer to make a set of health enhanced armor. As I know realize after doing some digging here, krayt scales must be unstacked before being placed in the factory for production...but I didn't know this prior to having all 24 of them eaten. I filed a ticket and had a CSR respond with the standard "working as intended" line and then he told me that it was my mistake for not unstacking them....but I assumed that since I don't have to unstack factory crates,I wouldn't have to unstack items that are dropped stacked.I'm sure that many of you have had the same problem, but has CSR ever done anything for any of you other than shrug his shoulders and say working as intended? Why would I be allowed to drop stacked items into a factory if it's only going to eat them all in one big bite anyway?

"Working as intended" means "That's how it works now, and I don't have a clue as to what to do about it."

Some CSRs will help you out and some won't. If you log enough tickets you'll figure out which one is helpful and which one isn't. Had a problem with a CSR with repeated text coming up "Closing that container...." or something like that every 2nd, this particular CSR didn't even send a tell and just closed the ticket with "Wait for server reset and it should fix the problem." server reset was like 5 hrs away.

Point of the story is, log your ticket and hope it's a helpful CSR.

CSR weren't helpful when;

+ I lost a vendor with 10M units of prime resources - The responce from a CSR was"Don'taccess vendors at least 30 minutes prior to a scheduled server reset." LOL

These disappeared in a server crash and the server was rolled back like an hour.

This CSR even gave me his Sony e-mail address but never got back to me after like 5 e-mails. i gave up and asked another CSR. He told me the first CSR had quit and since he doesn't have any knowledge ofour previous transactions, there was no way to help.

+ I losta fewverygood pearls (175-198 dmg,-8 and -9FC) - Basically told I was fooked cause they can't find proof. 50M credits down the drain.

+ Respec messed me up. I couldn't respec back toMAS even though I had a few days left, I sent a ticket,I was told by a CSR that respec was over and that I was fooked. So I start the grind again andspend like 8 hours, just to find out I was able to respec after 12 hours.

+ I got stuck in a NPC building in Coronet. Took me like5 hours to figure out a way out using /unstick,/burstrun, Shift+Escdisconnecting, pulling out modem, etc.(all the things that "may" be used to exploit) in different places.

Can't think of anything else now, but there are many...

I've never had the pleasure of finding a helpful CSR. /shurug

But to answer the poster's question, yes, CSR's seem to reimburse unstacked loot eaten up by factories.

Well in making weapons I had a guildmate loose a set of nice looted casings which he did not unstack. CSR response was "working as intended and thanks for playing". He has filed the ticket 3 times so far and still waiting to find a guy that can help recover the lost ones in the stack. So no go yet, but if he comes upon a good, helpful CSR, I will message you. I remain hopeful.

I started on EQ earlier this year before I started playing SWG exclusively, and it strikes me that the CSR there was so responsive. I got stuck in the game in the water and ended up drowning which equals lost XP...he rezzed me and made me whole again within about 15 minutes of my ticket being sent in.

It amazes me how different SWG is.

Not quite, let me explain something about corporate speech:

No corporation is allowed to admit mistakes that they are responsible for (think of the president, blame the local government and act like you did your job) So when you have clucked something up and someone notices it you use the phrase that some suit has decided best reflects your non-denial of denial. In this case SOE uses the phrase "This is working as intended."

The rough translation is: Yeah we screwed up, what are you going to do about it?

The clinical translation from corporate to english: Yes we screwed it up, but by telling you we meant to do it we can act like we have a plan you do not know about so that we can keep from letting you know we don't.

Normally I would agree But i must say that i had a vendor eat up a heap of premium resource and cores and the Csr JenniferS came to the rescue and with a whole lot of correspondance we ended up coming to a happy and quite welcome conclusion, so she was extreemly helpful yeah.

Well I filed three different tickets hoping to stumble upon a CSR that would actually do something only to be told all three times that it was my fault and it sucks to be me, working as intended....ticket closed. If it was actually working as intended, why would my factory even let me drop in stacked loot and why doesn't it force me to unstack factory crates? That question fell upon deaf ears and blind eyes apparently, because every CSR sent me the same canned crap response, but what else would I expect. Having been here for as long as I have, I've grown to accept the fact that the SOE developers, CSR's and forum moderators are all on a work release program from some mental institution somewhere.

That is an issue that is easily solved because it is easily investigated. They can see on the logs that you put those resources in and that you did not take them out. SO it is quickly dealt with by CSR's.

But try it after a server crash and say that. the logs are wiped when the server crashes. And then they will just say "Sorry, you are out of luck"

The discussion here is about losses after a server crash/restart not part of the factory bug that has been a pretty common affair since 3 publishes ago or so.

BTW, I too have had plenty of good things come from a ticket.
