And thanks for the reminder, that's a great link to put in THs "Great Expectations" post. We've been told about Combat Balance since mid-September of last year.

All I have to say, as along time pikeman and board member is that I salute you Gunman, you've been a great correspondent and I hope all goes well at the meeting. I am currently not a pikeman because of the mini-cm/fotm, lack of fixes etc.

I think we should have a Pikeman Veterans section of your binder where each of us veterans gets to make a one sentence quote to the devs about pikeman.

This would show that we have the active community that we do, that we don't like the mini-cmness in general and would also help with getting issues cleared up, and give us a connection from Player to Developer which would show that we have a great correspondent

mine would be "Pikeman for me isn't about DOTs its about damage, taken and given."

I stand corrected Flumped

I've been a tk since lauch and I can tell you that there's a use for every single move we have. TK who say their moves are useless are idiots who don't know how to use their profession. They would suicide themselves if they had to play as a pikeman because their brain would explode anyway.

Combo 1 is extremely effective and I use it in every duel.
Combo 2 is a scatter hit and is good for finding holes in armor.

So yeah, not *exactly* armorsmith related, but y'all are my peeps

I've started actually working on my thesis (or will after I meet again with my advisor tomorrow) and I'm probably going to end up wanting to interview some people about their experiences in game for references.

At this point, I know I'll be doing something probably centered around socilization within MMOGs (I'm also tapping my sources in WoW and FFXI) and why people enjoy them so much.

If you're interested, just post here and I'll keep this thread updated as I progress. Thanks!
