easiest way is to find a wild lair of gurks that are around a "NEST" that is the only thing a gurk king will spawn from. when the lair is almost dead, it has a chance to spawn...kill him and cross your fingers

sorry to see this game in its current state

Plus the kings don't spawn from mission lairs, and as was said above, the lair type needs to be a nest. Also if there are some feral gurks around it, that's a good sign you'll get a king although it's no guarantee.

there's also 2 static spawn gurk kings that spawn every 2 hours. I know one is just north of the canyon corsair stronghold, the other is in the central southern section of the map, don't have an exact wp.

Forgot those. The waypoints are in the RIS guide in the FAQs. They are often camped.

Yep people have the times worked out and log at the spot and just load in for the kill which is a pain as they then hoard the hides so you can't get any without paying stupid prices

Another helpful tip regarding gurk king hide;

Use a droid to hit the lair when your down to the last spawn. Once (if) a reclusive king spawns, call the droid off the lair and leave it be. Kill the king, then go about 500m from the lair for a few minutes. When you return the lair should be regenerated to full health with a new king at the bottom. You should be able to get three kings out of any nest that has one in it. Not all will have the Gurk King Hide, but you shorten your hunting time immensly by milking each lair as much as possible.

It's called the Reclusive Gurk King.

Even nests without Ferels can spawn them, although the ones with ferels seems to spawn kings more often. Just make sure they're the generic "a nest". You can find many of them in the southern part of Lok. When the nest isdown tolike 5-10%, they tend to pop out along with other smaller gurks.

Just go around killing all the gurk nests you can find and take it from there.
