I need some armoursmith advice.
I was going to dable in armoursmith mainly to make affordable Chitin armour for some extra cash. So far i'm 1/1/0/3. However, I just learned that layers can not be used in Chitin (wasted xp dammit). So here's my question.
To make the highest kinetic chitin is 3/0/0/3 (adv. segement) better than 1/0/0/4 (highest experimentation).
Basically i have 25 skill points above novice armoursmith to spend. I thinking 3/0/0/3 is best.
Tell me what you guys think.

Being capable of making advanced chitin segments is definitely better than an extra experimentation point. It may give you 10-15% more kinetic resist depending on your resources.

affordable chitin is almost laughable, in order to make this stuff in high numbers you will need loads of harvested creature resources, which are expensive to buy and time consuming to make, you can make affordable chitin sure, but not much of it, making chitin is not really a profitable enterprise, my best was around 61% kinetic, but that Dantooine bone is a **edit** to get, because everyone hunts Quenkers or Pikets (no bone option) you are stuck to paying lots for the bone or do it yourself.

ya, If i were you, 3/0/0/3 would be the way to go... but like the above post said, it's quite pointless for sales. The stuff is quite expensive to make due to the organics... It'd be great for you to grind in though.. I'm sure you could pump out some decent 40-50% kinetic chitin, but it'd probably take a considerable amount of money to get the hides and bones...

Hmmm, well i'm not having much of a problem finding the organics. Full suits have been selling for 30-40K with 30%/11% stats. It is mostly hunting armour. I'm a master heavy swordsman and this armour stands up to enraged rancors and it's cheaper and different than composite. Oh yeah. I alsoused thisarmourin the corvette and came out with an av-21 schematic and and berzerker rifle loot. Nightsister elders are the only thing i can't solo in this armour....oh no! Armoursmith is more of a hobby anyway,something different to do beside killing everything. I do not believeyou need composite to hunt,it's morefor PVP.
I know i can't compete with the uberness of Atock and whoever else. You guys can make the comp i don't need it.
