Thread: Advanced Composite Segments Problems, Please Help!
I usually use 4% base 7% special kinetic layers which then go on to make 32% base Advanced Composite Segments. I am getting a problem which just appeared today where I had 3 factory runs of these kinetic layers, one set went to make segments at 32% like usual but the other 2 are only going to 31% base... i have no clue why this is happening, can someone please help?
P.S. I am useing Erosi, Trinwesiium and Esynoitism to make the segments
Best Regards

I assume you have three schematics for your factory runs. Apparently, they are not exactly the same. Experimentation on one schematic may have yielded 31.99% (rounded to 31%) and the others 32.01% (rounded to 32%). If that is the case, the effect on the arnor will probably be negligible.
Unless you have totally horrible resources, you can save some experimentation points by putting less into kinetic resist (7% kinetic seems a bit much and you probably exceed the cap of 80% kinetic in your final armor by 10% or so).

I am experimenting all kinetic layers to 75% because the posts I have read says that a kinetic layer goes to 4% base at 75% experiment and there isnt any point going higher.
Are you saying there is a difference with 75% experiment and 85% experiemnt even though they both say 4% base?

Yes. At 75% Experimental Quality (EQ)you will have a layer with 4.0% base resist, whereas at 85% EQ the base resist is 4.4%. Both show up as 4% layers but when used in a segment, the first may yield 32% base resist, where the second would give 33%.

I agree, if u want a higer base, definetly experiment into 4% base 75%. i see at least a 2% increase if i max it as opposed to stopping at 75%.
Also, with 4% segments and at least half decent resources, u can hit 80% with a 4% kinetic layer. 7% is way to high. Worst case scenario, you can do it with a 5% kinetic layer. anything higher would be a waste and the points are better spent maxing the base or dropping the HAM.
Thanks guys I experimented the layers to 4%/4% and got 33% base on the composite segments.
Output of the armor was 66% base and 80% kinetic which is best I have got so far
Thanks for the help
