Thread: has the time come to give up making armor?

hello,
i have been smith since late 2003 now.
i didnt check out CU armor crafting yet.
but i was wondering, with all my resources getting obsolete, is it worth to restock and start over?
or better move to new grounds and check out some other crafting profession?
or even give up crafting at all and enjoy the new combat system?
from you guys that crafted a lot of CU armor, is it as fun as it was before?
any input appreciated

My issues with me going forward.
1. If you were a comp only smith you will needto get a lot of resources.
2. While armor can look differently, there isn't any diversity in armor nor armor crafting.
3. 12 points means nothing.
4. Organics ae very hard to get and keep.
5. You can no longer look at a named resource's OQ/SR and know if it is good or not.
6. Even if you are capable of making armor with reallygreat stats, thedifference between the lower and higher stats isn't a lot.

But it is very very time consuming more than before.
factory times are slower more named resourses.
oh and assault armour takes 4 layers (?) and marabi take 7 explain that .
I still think its fun i will give it time if in a few months im not liking it i will quit all together
ws is like the old AS loots to experiment on .
All though you still need you 12 pts

thank you for those quick reply's
i was making all kinds or armor in this game, i had a stockpile for at least a few suits of any kind available in the game.
right before CU i spent a couple million to get those tapes, which are useless now form what i hear.
now i am broke.
i useda nice tool to keep track of my resources, i am lost without it, and it hasnt been updated to fit CU yet.
at least i should give it a try i think

I cancelled four of my five crafters..dying getting resources not fun...new schematics are far too involved and use far too many resources and resources on planets I no longer hunt on or go to because of the really messed up level system. My signature used to include nine characters....and a city. Pooh on them all, fun went out of the game with the CU.
