Drawback of being an imp thats not a human or zabrak is you are subject to the Empiresxenophobic ways. Is it fair? No, but thats the price you pay for being an Imp. Side note, as part of the "balance" gloves and boots no longer provide protection. Y well thats for another rant.

Everyone keeps saying this. But I have scoured the ID boards and EVERYONE says this is just a rumor. Where is this information coming from?

It's a rumor, we will not, and acording to devs never be able to change race.
The fact is imps don't really like other races. So the helmets will probably never be made available to them.
