I was just experimenting on Advanced Recon Cores, and had the oddest thing happening. All this was done using the same resources and segments.

Most of the time (14 out 16 times) I got 3781 base upon assembly, but the other two times I got 3796. It didn't matter whether I got an amazing assembly or not, and the percentage values were the same every time (25%). When I got 3781 on assembly I could expirement protection up to 89% for a total 5569 base, when I got 3796 on assembly I could experiment up to 90% and 5606. Again it started at the same percentage, 25%, so it wasn't the old assembly bonus that you occasionally got.

Anyone have any ideas what could be going on? Of course the actual armor protection difference is neglegible, but there is a psychological difference between 5969 and 6000 base.
