Thread: Plans for production (or How are you going to sell your armor?)
I wish I could get to the point of being able to do factory runs. I am making armor as soon as the cores are done and it is being sold.
If/when I'm able to catch up, I'm currentlyplanning on making black armor. This is how Ford sold cars. "You can have it in any color you like as long as it is black." I will only be doing advanced cores. I plan on stocking twice as many helms and legs as other parts. I plan on offering bags of 11 cores and charging a bit more to do custom work. I haven't decided if I will run more than one skin per armor class.
One idea I was tossing around was black legs, helms, boots and gloves and then stocking a few different colors of body/arms.
What kind of prices are you all charging on the different types? Also, what about faction armor as well?
Quad Layer Adv Armor = 500k
Quad Layer Faction = 750k
Unlayered Adv Armor = 300k
I sell several suits a day and as fast as I make them I sell them. I think Im one of the few if not only person on my server that can make 7800 Energy Recon. This is my top seller, but I think that will die down once the BH Free For All slows down a bit.
I have a mall with 8 armorsmiths in it. We all do between 1-4 armors
we should have 23 vendors soon, there are 16 up and running now
everyone is just focousing on their armor. Lets say you were the marauder smith. Well then you can focus on marauder and do your best on that. You could do basic and advanced version. Kinetic layered, primus layered. Put out different colors and styles and work on custom order. And since you are just doing marauder you have time to do that.
a nice setup would be partnering with two other smiths and opening a store together. One for recon, one for battle and one for assault, etc
