Thread: Cortosis-enhanced Armor?

According to the books (Expanded Universe), Cortosis Ore was used in 'current' times to manufacture armor and weaponry that was resistant to Lightsabers. In Knights of the Old Republic, they even had a Cortosis weave mesh that was used to enhance normal weapons and armor to have said resistance (Cortosis Layers for armor, Cortosis Cores for weapons?). Of course, it'd have to be a rare thing to have such schems....
With the advent of Lightsaber damage, does anyone know if Cortosis gear is on the horizon? Would seem to make at least some sense (even though the OQ cap on the ore is ungodly low...). I mean, the reason for Cortosis gear in KOTOR was due to jedi being all over, and we're rapidly heading for just that kind of situation on almost every server, now.
Not saying that Jedi need something else to reduce their hitting power in PvP, but it'd be nice to have at leastsome resistance,outside of buying a short-lived PSG.

That is a great idea especially with the revamp out now... jedi can have more then just a lightsaber to aid them i mean where talking jedi with sniper rifles and Rancors at their aid.

With resources at 1cpu and energy at 0.5 cpu you cant go wrong..the prices almost seem to good to be . Rancor loots all for just 1k a peice, janta loots ranging anywhere from 500 credits to 7k.

OQ isn't gated on anything. Good idea though, would be interesting.

some how i doubt youwill see this armor added. If it is added it should be epic and hardest of the armors to obtain.

Should be about as hard to obtain as lightsaber crystals...We have cortosis ore, no reason we can't use it in armor.

That ore is in the game but it dosen't have the same effect.
This Cortosis ore shut off lightsabers on contact, the emporer had it in his throne room.
Armor made with this would be cool
