I have seen conflicting posts as to whether Tantel has lLS resist. Can anyone give me credible info on this?

Its amazing how no one likes the answer to this. Its a display bug, tantel does not resist lightsaber damage.

Ive tested this personally, bought a helmet and chest plate, had a jedi with a grinding saber pound the hell out of me, looked at my combat log, not one hit was absorbed by the tantel armor

sorry guys

You need to run a test with a freshly made piece of tantel that still has lightsaber listed as a resist.

I bought a crate of PSGs, took it out of the crate, and it had lightsaber listed as a resist. I fought a jedi and the PSG worked effectively.

The next day I had the same PSG still equipped and fought another jedi. The bug went into play and lightsaber was listed as a vulnerability. The PSG absored none of the hits.

Your testing isn't conclusive because PSGs were explicitly named as having lightsaber resists by the devs, yet they have the same display bug you mention.

Tell me one thing, what was the base resist of the Tantel you were using? (IE. what was the LS resist %?)

Irott, it was mikedealer who did the test not me. I just made a Tantel chest plate with 29% LS resist so i will try it out when i get the chance.

It's not that I DON'T like this answer. I just wanted to know if anyone had information straight from the devs that this is a bug and that these 2 armors won't offer LS resists. And I am sorry but your tests don't convince me either way. Just because your armor didn't resist LS damage doesn't nessisarily mean that it isn't supposed to resist it. This could also be a bug in its own right.

Thx for the response

Remember folks when you fight a jedi w/ armor that has lightsaber resis. exp. psg or tantel(if it truely has ls resistance) AP2 kicks in. I have yet to make some tantel but with the combat balancing coming up, I see it making more of a showing.
