Thread: Armor Nerf?
*Armor is going to have it resistances lowered. (All existing armor will be converted)
*Armor will get more diversion in resistances so that ie Composite will no longer be the only thing you need to cover your a$$.
*If buffs gets less powerful (which is also a rumour) then encumbrance will matter more.
Noone knows how this will affect Armorsmiths, one can only guess. Personally I don't think it will change things for the worse. Even if armor only protects 10% instead of 90% it's still better than 0%. But that of course is dependant on how they change buffs.
So I think that since all existing armor probably will be converted, then as a new armorsmith, you won't have harder than it is now to start a buisness.
Personally I think its great. I'd like to see more people wearing padded and tantel and armorsmiths will wind up selling a lot more armor, even though the returns per piece will probably be a little less I bet revenue will be higher.

ully this will work out good. Atm im 4244 in armorsmith, and plan CURRENTLY on making very little comp armor. Im going to consentrate on ubese, padded and maybe some chitchin..why? because very few smiths make it at all, and it will distiguish myswelf from teh comp whores
Comp whores? You refering to the smiths or players?
It will be interesting to see whether on not you make comp when you're able to. I make all of them (except bone), and have been collecting the resources for all the armors for several months. Needless to say, I have quite a collection of very good resources for the lower end stuff. I think once you discover how much harder Chitin, Padded and Ubese are to make a living from, you'll be pumping out your share of comp as well.
To the original point....if you're making good armor now...it will be good after the changes...comparatively speaking. The only way that will change, is if the resource quality ceases to matter. If that happens, I'll find something else to do. Maybe enjoy some of the movies that have come out in the past several months.![]()
