Thread: PSG's and Lightsaber resistance

Weren't PSG's supposed to be resistant to Lightsabers. I ask this because I still have factory crates of a PSG Mk III run I did a couple of weeks back, and they now show Vulnerability to LS...

Anyone know the true skinny on this. I do know that some armors are falsely showing resists to LS, so I assume that this is just a part of that bug....?

The whole LS thing is really borked right now, but really, what else is new? PSG's are supposed to have LS resists, try taking them out of the crate and see if the display changes.

Keep one thing in mind, PSG's are AR1, while sabers are AP2. AP2 against AR1 means the saber gets a 25% damage bonus, so for the PSG to actually help and not hurt, the LS resist (the base) must be higher than 25%.

I made a batch yesterday. Lightsaber is shown as a vulnerability while in a crate, but becomes a protection once the units are removed from the crate.

Hrrmm...something weird going on then..the one in my backpack has stayed the same, with no stat-shift since I made it a few days ago..

I do belive it was done in a recent damage test on here, that PSG's are screwy.

Showing (as example, 40% kinetic) means a pure 40% reduction, not factoring into account Light armor or Armor piercing.

also, each level of AP is ~15% bonus, not 25%

I'm a very recent master armorsmith. I've done a run of IMP PSGs that showed 44% lightsaber in the schematic, in crates, not when pulled out of the crate, but on the vendor.

Now they show lightsaber when pulled out of the crate.

I thought PSGs were supposed to have lightsaber resist. I even put Lightsaber resist in the name of mine.

Someone else has said that IMP PSGs won't have resist but the Mk 3 will.

What is the best state of knowledge on the topic at present?

Oh no, not this again, It would be funny in a not so funny way if when they "fix" this (if that happens) stat shifting comes back.
