its best to find a tailor and get to be friends.. you'll really need a schematic not just one crate..although I do have a friend who sells loads of Synth and RFP by the crate on his vendor...Names Daishus if ur interested..

The easiest thing to do is get a tailor to make you several schematics for it. Buying it strait from a tailor is expensive (resource cost + resource markup + factory fee), so bringing a tailor samples of the grind materials needed and getting them to make you several schematics is best.

Some tailors don't charge much at all (10k), others charge a lot (100k), others get offended that you want to buy a schematic. Just shop around and be civil (ie: respect a tailors right to not sell schematics if they don't want to). Maby you'll find a baby tailor just starting out who'll be overjoyed to make you some schematics for some cash.

My advice is to get em to name each schematic different tho :, ie: Synthetic Cloth Alpha, Synthetic Cloth Beta, Synthetic Cloth Delta, ect.

I had a master AS tell me that all the things you need from tailors can be had by taking novice tailor (a very easy grind) and then getting 0300 tailor. I don't think it's going to be that difficult. I'll make my own stuff in a wearables factory and maybe wear my novice tailor hat instead of my master armorsmith hat between the time I master and the time I have enough resources to do anything semi-decent.

Does anyone here think that the quality of the tailor-manufactured components matters?

FP and RFP resource quality doesn't matter. Yeah getting a schematic rules. I used to buy by the crate but it was a huge pain. My buddy just made tailor so he can crank out schematics for free- awesome. I mean a run of 14 comp suits is about 5- 6 crates of RFP's

that's easy to do as well, but I personally consider it a waste of skill points considering how easy it is to get schematics.

I'm still grimly holding on to master tailor myself, I tailored for 8 months, and I just can't make myself drop the class now that I've given up on it. But if I was to drop master, I'd drop everything and just buy schematics.

Honestly I've never had a problem finding them on vendors and the bazaar. Both for RFP and Synth Cloth. Padding for Wookiee armor is harder though, especially the 4% stuff.
