Thread: High % Krayt Segments in todays world...

Currently there are some high % (36-48%) Krayt Segments hitting our trade forum and the sticker price is in the millions. I was thinking what one would do with such things in todays triple layer stun protection days, and I can't think of a way to use them to justify the cost. If you make a super chest piece, you will now be the proud owner of a 80%/80% perslice chest that costs 1 million + credits, but couldn't sell it for that for it doesn't have the Stun protection that everyone wants. 8 months ago I could see these being amazing, but today I'm just not sure.
Would other smiths pay 2mil for (9) 48% Krayt segments and if so what would you do with them?

I wouldn't buy those at that cost. True they are nice, but just not really worth it in my view.

They would make a great set of very light, very high condition PvE armor, but 2 million!
I pers use them for 3 in the helm, 4 in the chest and 2 in the boots.... Then use NS layers / janta in the gloves (single segment) to get a great 4 peice PvE set at 80% pre slice..... But 2 million is high!

Bought 5 67% ones for like 7 Millions a while back I think.
Made some nice pre slice helmet and boots with 80% base, very low ham and very high durability ( think boots were 62k, helmet 52k).
It's not to sell but it does make nice pieces of armor...
Only issue is I pve in padded + ris helmet so never got to use them....
They do make good armor to put attachments in if you only pve though.....

I'd buy them just to make myself a suit. What else do you use your credits for?

Those 2 auctions are getting high because someone wants to use them in a display 
) I spend most of my credits on decor for the mall! A high end PvE suit would make sense, except most high end PvE players go after Nightsisters, which can throw a Stun Baton into the mix now that can start to take its toll after a few minutes.
If you make something to display, just make sure you spell the name right)
