What's odd about it? It'senergy layered with a damn good effectiveness slice. I see them on Bfin all the time.My smuggler was hitting 82% base @ slicing 3. (rarely, but I did hit it.)

A long time ago you could slice comp above 90%, then they put in a 90% cap.
I Remember someone making a pair of comp gloves with a legendary krayt segment and slicing it for 100% many moons ago and posting the result, picture, combat logs etc showing that he was taking no dmg when hit in the gloves so the devsmade the 90% cap
Still, very odd there is no maker in the picture of this chestpiece.

i don't see what's so amazing about this piece. a Lowca armorsmith, Jaque, regularly makes Tri-80 Armor.

I forget the base, but when sliced can easily get 90% base.
Then you know jack about armor and slicing.
This piece has a sliced NINETY-ONE PERCENT Base.
The Base is supposed to be capped at NINETY PERCENT with NOTHING going past it.

well, that goes to show that i don't know anything about armorsmithing or slicing. i didn't know there was a 90% cap. i was just in the armorsmith forums reading about the armor certifications and started clicking links.

Ah, got ya. Sorry for the rough comeback on that one - I have been in this game since launch, so I took for granted that this was common knowledge.
Glad I could shed some new light for ya!

I've seen a 94%+ set of composite, and a 98% helmet.. This was before the 90% cap was in place.
