Is anyone but me worried about the state of armor in the CU? Seems to me that only the well established smiths will want to continue as crafters. My problem is that i dont know really what is going on due to the fact that very little info has been released.
So call it ignorance of my situation as it were haha. All items are to be changed to reflect the CU such as factory crates and such. does that mean that any good armor or segments will be nerfed after the update? If so why should i try to gather resources or make any armor? I am thinking i should try and use what i have for crafted segments then sit on what i have left. And what is to become of the current armor types and any armor that is already crafted? Hmmm. So many questions for so few answers. just some random thoughts. Thx.

Armor will be converted, no worries.
People will always need armor and after the CU, people will need all kinds of armor because they are making certs for it. We will no longer see everyone running around in comp. I think the CU will be great for AS because we can actually do more.
I've got my stock of resources ready for every armor type. I have 5 resource deeds ready for any resource I may not have. I have been and always will be an AS.

with the coming CU telling us we can only wear battle armor ( padded and bone and other loot ones ) . I was wondering who all was going to go ahead and buy a suit of decent padded armor since DEV's have said they will transfer all the old armor to the new system. so that you can have a suit you can wear right off the bat instead of having to wait on the armor smiths to start making all the varities of armor they will now start having to keep in stock . I already bought a suit of padded for a just incase situation ( might buy 1 more it was only 110k for whole suit ).
on a side note i read some where that doc's get certs in battle armor also i wonder if master swordsman/master doc will combine the certs from both proffesions ( bigger bouns to wearing battle armor maybe ?)

only way to ensure you hit the ground running is get a couple of different suits pre cu...and yeah, it looks like if you have 2 professions that both grant hinderance mitigation then you will face less penalties, but, its not a bonus, its mitigation, so im sure there would be a point where you would be facing diminishig returns through armor penalty mitigation stacking

but armor will not be at the power it is right now. i dont think we will be seeing any stats over 60/70. but who knows i might be wrong but we will have to wait to see.

really the mitigation from diffrent profesions will not stack so that they can wear the armor easier ? that kinda blows they siad proffesion ablities would stack. main reason i was thinking of this was for when it goes live there seems to be so few people making the other typpes of armor.

I hate padded armor, especially since all my good tapes are in composite. Oh well, I've hated SOE since launch and I'd hate to discontinue the tradation.
One question, can the goons at SOE at least change those stupid looking padded hats, lol?

well any way i wouldn't complain cuz we actually got the best armor set i believe. yes the padded armor helm looks odd but that doesn't mean you need to wear padded you can just get your armor smith to craft you your faction armor. which i think is really awsome looking armor. Or if you have to money get some RIS armor made after the CU hits.

I already have RIS armor.
Unfortunately, I don't trust the idiots at SOE to give the players a fair shake when "converting" it. The last chance they had at this, they screwed the jedi with their crystals. Not that i have any great love of jedi, so don't flame me. I'm just saying that I have about zero confidence in SOE to have the brain power to convert existing good items into post-nerf good items.

here is some thing else i was thinking about yall . if you look at the armor stuff posted you see that the appearence is one of the last steps in making the armor they might be able to craft padded armor with good stats that looks like some thing else not sure though , i did log on to TC5 and looked at AS skill tree and one of thier entire trees is nothing but the apperance of the armor , jsut some thing to think about .
