Hi, I'm not an armorsmith, but I'm a costumer, i am always wearing fully sliced composite. Customizing color is great, it really is, but I'm tired of going to a starport and seeing 75% of the same armor on people. It really breaks immersion, and it's ugly (quite frankly, composite isn't the nicest armor either...)
Now i used to be an architect at one point, and we got to customise fountains and gungan head statues and choose wich "skin" we wanted for it! Why couldn't we get the same here? I'm sure there are alot of different armor types in SW continuity, and from what i hear the art departement is always ahead of schedule, plus weaponsmiths are getting a lot of new weapons... SO: Why not allow to customize wich "skin" you want for your composite? It wouldn't affect stats of course, just the outside look, like color does currently.
I wanted for it to be able to take the look of other lower level armor types (ubese, padded, etc...) that we rarely ever see in game anymore, but that could have the potential of fooling an enemy in PvP, and it doesn't fit with continuity logic. So we should add new armor "skin". It requires not a lot of coding, mainly new art assets, but i think it could add great diversity to the game, if we have 4 or 5 different skins to choose from for the top level armor...
What do you guys think?

Fine with us(armorsmiths)
I think we will take anything that makes our armor look more unique or give us more crafting options but this isnt up to us.
Talk to the developers
