Why not use Composite - it will cost you less..... Padded is about the hardest armor type to make (except silly things like RIS)

Padded looks nicer, though. Two layers in Padded, not 3. You can't get up to Composite levels. If I remember rightly, I got near 40% in some Kinetic Padded not using advance layers (can't get Yavin wooly that's good enough for me to even think of trying). I'm sure some veteran armorsmith with resources predating my start date could do better, if they even wanted to touch Padded.

Wanderhome here. I can get 66% kinetic with 50% base on advanced padded armor with2 kinetic layers. HAM costs are a bit on the high side, but just visit coronet starport and you can find at least 3 doctors buffing for 6k.

It really depends on the HAM costs you want. Padded is he most tricky armor to make with layers because the encumberance is hard tobalance out. If I were to make padded armor with the Kinetic layers I make for ubeseI could make 70% Kinetic 45% Base, but the encumberance would be high and require either some lucky slices, or buffs. (Unless you dont like to wear the stupid looking helmets

) Not many of my customers ask for the helmets.Padded is the most difficult armor to make and requires an ton of hides. It looks cool and I am getting to the point where the resistances might be worth it for PvE. I dont think padded will ever get to the point of PvP with vulnerabilities it has.
RANCOR PADDED ARMOR SEGMENTS WORK!!!!!!! Tested a few yesterday, and they were uber......well somewhat. Only had vulnerabilities to acid and stun afterwards, but the cold resistance was 65% and a base of 48%. (Naritus seems to be behind the rest of the servers as far as stats are concerned. I have always been about 3-5% lower than most of the other server armor stats.)

I'm no armorsmith myself but I need to ask one question.
How good kinetic resistance can you get on a Padded Armor?
Can they be trippled layer just like Composite?
What HAM stats would it be on the padded with realy high kinetic resist?

Might not be the right thread to ask, but: What colorcombination do you find most popular when you make padded? I'm going to do some limited edition lootdrop based padded and don't want to end up with a great armor with the wrong colors, which is why I'm asking.
Only need some good lokian leathery now and project 80% base padded will start! (will make a seperate thread on this later)

Padded is just a pain and not worth it. It has way to many resources that comp needs. My comp has far superior resists for the same HAM costs.

71%kinetic resist padded boots. Havent made any other parts yet. I just wanted to see what I could get.
